Let's delay the time. Say meet around 12AM. Traffic would thin out by then and would be relatively easy for people to reach.
This is a Super Excellent Idea. Saturday Night Car Fever in Carter Road. I will be certainly most interested to come. However this Saturday is not possible as I have guests coming home. I hope these meets are regular and I will be able to participate. Carter Road, Bandstand, Marine Drive ... The rendezvous can alternate. Mumbai is beautiful in these places.

I was in I Bandra all day. Now I'm back in Thane. A bit tired so I wish to hop in some's ride. Any one from Ghodbunder Road Thane?
Plan:
1. Reach Carter road latest by 11:30pm tonight. Meeting point

2. After everybody in and meeting some regulars of Carter road, as the traffic begins to thin out, we should start to roll latest by 12:30am. Carter Road -> Sea link -> Worli sea face.
3. Regroup at worli sea face. Possibly click some snaps.
4. Next stop Nariman point. Hopefully should be there by 1:30AM. Spend an hour there and the start return journey by 2:30am.
5. Return journey - most likely everybody would be on their own. Western suburb folks might wants to return via sea-link. Others might use Eastern Freeway. Depending on the interest and time/rain situation, a subgriup can also go to Dadar Chowpatty/Hinduja.

Marine drive the road has caved in. So we might avoid that.

Midnight zombie meet and drive on 24/25 Aug
The idea of doing a midnight drive in our own island city to experience (relatively) empty roads was floated some 2-3 days back and lot of folks expressed interest.
So Saturday-night/Sunday-early-morning drive was finalized for 24th Aug.
Here's a quick report and pics:
Disclaimer: I am no expert in photography and especially in night photography. The photos have heavy grain. The white-balance is way off. Many photos are shaky. Please excuse.
'Duma' on the prowl. Clicked at 10pm in complete darkness just before Airoli intersection.
10:05pm: Met Pritam at Airoli signal and then we started towards Carter road through Sion.
The traffic was bad at Sion and beyond.

Bandra does not sleep.
Just before 11pm, we reached Carter road. Some 4-5 cars were already there.
That's SiddarthDeb, Arun, BalenoPower (Abhishek) and YogeshNagpal.
BubbaFet (Saket) and Pritam on the right.
A few calls later, LP640 (Avinash), Sa_Kiran (Kiran) and Jignesh also turned up.
Dodge Viper (Kailash) joined in. Give me red!

Superbee (Raghav) and Swapszone (Swapnil) were among the last ones to join in.
Called up Rohit, but he had to opt out at last moment.

11:30pm -> All cars (12?) in! Time to roll.
So many stickered cars one after another. A sticker-spotter would have gone crazy!

Traffic was bad even at this hour. A idiotic BEST bus blocked traffic in all directions at this signal. Sid's and Saket's rides in the snap.

I guess I saw not less then 4 cameras
was fun, i guess we needed better locations for a proper night shoot and also some generous parking space considering the number of cars that had turned up. Here are a few pics from my end.
