As dhanush menon mentioned this trip is indeed happening.
We are meeting on Saturday morning 7 am , Karingachira passport office, Tripunithura end of seaport airport road. There is change in the route. From suggestions and advices of fellow members especially jacs, we have planned to take the following route.
Tripunithura - Kanjiramattom - Thalayolaparamb - Kaduthuruthy - Marangattupally - Palai ( Where we ll have our first stop for breakfast) - Bharananganam - Thidanad - Pinnakanad - Parathode and further on towards Kuttickanam.
Thanks to fellow dear member mistaken_guy, food and stay has been arranged at Rhapsody Holiday Villas, Kuttickanam. Its going to be a one night and two days stay, which means we will be returning back on Sunday evening.

If you are taking Tripunithura route, meeting point at Karingachira will be little long for those coming from Vyttila. It is shorter if you are taking Thiruvamkulam-Kottayathupara-Puthiyakavu route but you have to cross a railway gate.
Another option would be Thiruvamkulam-Mulanthuruthy-Kanjiramattom, that too thru a railway gate.
Have a rocking trip guys. I am upset about missing this wonderful drive, however this is just another drive for Kochi buddies and we keep this happening every quarter :thumbs up.
Instead of the karingachira passport office place... why don't we meet just after SN Junction. Near the bread world.
This will be good for the journey from there to kaduthuruthy.
Co-ordinates for the location could be approximately.
+9° 57' 20.01", +76° 20' 54.28" (9.955557, 76.348411)
I have put an indicative map to give the route from vyttilla (point A) to the point I was mentioning (point B)
Drive report:
Just a small report and pics from my end. Others will join with loads of pics.

Reporting Time - 6.45am
Meeting point - Bread World, SN Junction
We reached the meeting point at 6.50am expecting to see atleast couple of guys. Well, that wasn’t the case. So for the first time I managed to reach first (everyone couldn’t believe that as well). Vaisakh later joined me and slowly all managed to reach the spot before 8am. dhanushmenon couldnt come for the drive but decided to show up to send us off. He drove for around 20-30 kms and then decided to turn back :thumbs up. The first pitstop was at Indian Coffee House, Pala. Aswin ajith was patiently waiting for us (I guess it was around 1 - 1.5 hours). As we all started off early, we were all hungry and we made use of their kitchen. After distributing the walkie-talkies, we started our drive. The roads via Wagamon was decent except for a small stretch which was pretty much an offroad territory.
A quick break to stretch our legs but most importantly for this.
An ice cream wala on the way to his next point stopped us and knew it was time to make some good cash. His decision to stop did go well for him. After having some well deserved bites, we pushed off to our next stop which was the Pine Valley, Wagamon. Although it was around 12pm, the place was pretty crowded and was lucky to find a parking spot for all our 5 cars.
Then our mission was to find a decent place for lunch. Stopped at Misty Mountain, Kuttikanam and had to wait for an hour for lunch. The food was pretty reasonable and tasty. It was around 3.30 and we decided to push off to our resort, Rhapsody. Parked our rides, checked in at the cottages and then it was a cup of tea and snacks (the whole group was really hungry that day). After relaxing for an hour, we decided to visit paruthumpara. Although the place looked dry (expected some greenery), the timing was perfect. We had some awesome sight of the sunset and vaisakh was busy with his lens. Well, this is mine so it aint perfect.
Then revintup called and said they had reached the resort. After a quick hello, we parked our rides and got ready for the campfire. The fire was lit by around 7pm and went for an hour. We all gathered around the fire and it was time for some eventful talks. That went for couple of hours after which we had our dinner. Am sure that night will be remembered by all (evil grin).
Next day started off with a nice view of our rides parked with dew all over it and the rising sun behind the cars.
Some shots of the resort
Talks continued after the breakfast and we were joined by microaubin, his wife and kid. On seeing his A4, all the guys decided to delay their lunch and went straight for the car. Lunch was served at 1.30pm and we decided to have a group photo shoot before we check out from the resort.
Microaubin and family decided to push off to paruthumpara while we decided to visit panchalimedu.
The return route was through Mundakayam, Kanjirapilly through KK road which was brilliant. We all reached Cochin by around 8pm and bid goodbye to all with the drive agenda - When is the next drive?
Missed all others (the regular BHPians who accompanied us for the Marari and Munnar drive). Special thanks to mistakenguy for arranging the resort and microaubin for finding time and driving all the way to meet us for just a couple of hours. Waiting for pics from vaisakh.
Was one amazing meet! Had bag loads of fun and all the red and white 90HP Diesels from Kochi had a ball. :D
KK road was amazing! It was like a track and I just wanted to go all the way to Kottayam with revintup. On the way back, I took a detour at Pala to Muvattupuzha through Uzhavoor.
The resort was well chosen and the hospitality was great. And thanks to dhanushmenon and microaubin for joining us. And others from the group was sorely missed. Waiting for more pics!
Superb photos vaisakhr! The one with the stars have come out well. Cant believe that pic was shot in pitch dark. Its almost as if the cars have been parked under floodlights. And that last pic is Wow!
And did you just call revintup' City a 90? So did the Honda loose some horses along with the lift of the needle? :uncontrol
And are you sure you got only that many pics? :D
Thanks a lot for those wonderful pics Vaisakh. As you said, Cochin group is getting bigger and stronger. Your pics are also getting better each time and that night pic is simply awesome.
Simply awesome pics, from both Vaisakh and Bigbrad.:thumbs up
I had fun throughout, thanks a lot mistakenguy for arranging the great resort!
Was non stop laughter throughout the journey, and we properly abused the MRFs on Vaisakh's swifty :D
All I can say is, When is the next meet?
Great pics by Naveen, BigBrad and Vaisakh.
Hope to join you guys for the next trip !!!
Cheers
Superb pics vaisakh, esp the star trail one and the sunrise shot.
