Just got back home. Good meet. We met up for breakfast, had something to eat and then drove to Nehru Park for a photoshoot..

The photoshoot didnt go on too well as we didnt find parking space for the 20 or so cars that turned up.

Some of us then said our goodbyes and left from there while the others are continuing on to Gurgaon for a photoshoot.

Meet Update

Dear All,

This meet was one the best meets in terms of the member's turn out. We all were about 25 in number and it was a good get together. The meet began 15 minutes late this time i.e around 9:45am as some members joined in late.

Location Review: The location decided for the meet was It's 9 which is located in Yashwant Place in Delhi. The place is surrounded by foreign embassies and has a lot of greenery with ample parking space. The location looked really beautiful during the morning time.

It's 9 Review: The place is good with decent ambience and a pretty well designed breakfast spread with good amount of choices and reasonable pricing. We all ordered sandwiches, burgers and english breakfasts.

During the breakfast a good and healthy discussion was held amongst us which included topics like Car Accidents, Built Quality, Revving limits and moved to Samsung tablets and chargers.

Having finished breakfast; We all came down and then started the search for the photoshoot location (which always gets a bit messed up) so that we all can have a nice set of pics to end this meet. Having more than 20 cars at our end it was impossible to line them up anywhere. Hence, We all drove to Nehru Park and parked our cars in the corner (though in the line of the on coming traffic's direction). Till I left, no conclusive decision was made in regards to the location. However, I managed to click a few pics at Nehru Park itself.

Overall, I would say that this meet marked a great start to the Holi festival.

Good fun guys! I didn't expect these many people, and for a few minutes there, when people were late, neither did the staff!!
If I may ask,who was it that came fifteen minutes late? It's slipping my mind......

Well it was indeed a Mega Meet, seeing the number of members that turned up on a sunny Sunday morning. Nikhil was proved correct with his prediction of the Delhi junta suffering from Punctuality Disorder and in no way we could have let him down! I myself reached late and I apologize for that at the outset of the post.

The hangout point, 'It's 9 Bakery Café' is located inside the Yashwant Place Market Complex, in Chanakyapuri. The group gathered outside the Café in the parking area of the Complex and greeted each other.

Here's a group shot of all the members who had arrived by that time. Please excuse the misleading timestamp on the Photos, as the time settings on my Camera are haywire since quite some months now and I still haven't been able to figure a way out to correct it. Thankfully it is showing the date correct!

Rahul came last. I am glad atleast someone broke my record!! Doc had cycled from his home in Vasant Kunj to Gurgaon for his Sunday Cycling and then had come all the way from Gurgaon to Chanakyapuri for the meet! I probably would have fainted half way down after leaving from VK itself! Immense stamina Sir! Before joining inside for breakfast, the four of us chatting here over Bicycles, 'Riding' & what happens to your beloved bicycle once you get married!

Inside, we sat across after joining quite a few tables together. I and Sumit ordered a plate of Chicken Tikka Sandwich and a cold Coffee each. I found the sandwich very delicious and so was the Coffee. The taste was good and the quantity was great for the price. With this level of participation, we couldn't have had a common discussion going on while eating, so everyone started talking in the groups they were sitting the closest to. Mohit, Nikhil, Rohan, Sameer, Sumit and me were sitting next to one another and were talking for all of the time! The discussion topics at our end were over the D+ segmenters, that would be the New C, 3'er and the S60! Mohit and Rohan might pretty soon be coming up with a Comparo of the former two. Would love to see it! Then we chatted over Track Days, what tires to use if you are planning for such fun and the toppling, tire bursts and other safety concerns. We also talked over the reviews of the recently opened 3M store at Delhi, Nikhil sharing the differences in the way of doing automotive Business in Southern India when compared with up here and some good tire shops in Delhi-NCR. Nikhil also compelling the reluctant us to take our cars for track days and having fun as he would take care of the tires! Ain't it?!!

The location was finally decided and we moved up to the next block, but couldn't find sufficient space for such a large number of cars there and again left and decided to halt at the parking area of Air Force Bal Bharti, Lodhi Road which happens to be Samarth's alma mater.

It was my first meet ever. My name is Mayank and I had came with my friend Sumit, who is not on the forum, but equally loves driving and shares the same LTD spirit. I have been diligently following T-Bhp for around 3 years now, became a member in 2012, put up stickers immediately and have never been spotted till date! I have been mostly passive all this while but maybe I will start participating actively now! Shall come up with an Introduction post soon!

It was a wonderful experience meeting you all today. Loved talking with DocSaab, Nikhil, Mohit, Rahul, Sidharth, Aradhya & Sameer. Couldn't interact more! Would look forward to another meet whenever possible, maybe one in which we could drive more and are able to click in peace! We'll all decide when time comes.
