Location is not decided. Are you back in Seattle and would you like to join?
Looking for recommendations of 50-100 miles drive and clubbed with a short hike (3 to 5 miles).

Yup I'm here. Came early this month! Let me see the 23rd's weekend, we had a kayaking plan but nothing confirmed. There are a few hikes off of i90 east. Snow lake is easy, I forgot if it's by i90.

Team-BHP Hiking Meet- July 23rd, 2022
Last Saturday the following BHPian's met and enjoyed a lovely hike together.
1. mobike008
2. Ashir
3. RVracer88
4. Amol4138
I have done many theme Team-BHP meets in the past (Boat Meet, Ghazal Night Meet, Haleem Walk Meet etc) and this gets added to a unique meet where we met driving our cars but, the whole purpose of the meet was to enjoy the outdoors via. a lovely hike through a moderately tough (for others, it was quite tough for me:D)
I drove 75 miles from home (150 miles round trip) to the trailhead while others drove 45 miles to 55 miles to reach the destination.
We decided to meet at 8:30am which is actually late as most folks in PNW (Pacific Northwest) where hikes are super popular start the hikes by 7-7:30am.
It wasn't a surprise when I reached the trailhead at 8:30am, the entire parking was full and there was a mile long of cars parked. With some difficulty, found a spot and we spent half hour chit-chatting as Rahulracer drove 50 miles just to meet us and say "Hello"
Around 9:30, after a quick selfie, Rahul left in his BMW X3 M40i (His car and color is identical to mine).
Me, Ashir and Amol started the hike at 9:30am and this hike was supposed to be easy to moderately tough for most folks but, I was not used to hiking and it was tough for me as trail was full of rocks, tree barks and rocks. Also, we had to scale some big rocks to keep moving forward.
After 1.5 miles, we reached Lake Talipus which was completely foggy at around 11:00am and we spent some time enjoying the beautiful views. The trail was so busy that every few mins we had to give way to folks either coming from behind or from opposite side.
While I was struggling to walk (lol!), there were some folks who were running on trail. Whew!
After further hike of 1.5 miles and reaching 1500 ft elevation, we reached heaven- Lake Ollie
It was beautiful and jaw dropping as lake was surrounded by mountains and tall trees with clouds hanging low (almost touching the trees).
We enjoyed the views for an hour and also had some refreshments before hiking back to the trail head.
A total of 6 miles was covered in 2:44 mins. Not bad for a first hike, huh? lol:
Enjoyed this different Team-BHP meet (while hiking the conversations was mostly about cars and outdoors in WA)...Haha!
Rahul, Mobike008, Ashir and Amol (Left to Right)
3 miles of rough patch with heavy fog to reach the trail head
Pose with cars
Scaling barks to move forward
Cars parked safely at trailhead

Thank you Mr Mobike. Your unending enthusiasm is what led to this meet and I am sure there will be many to follow.
I was so glad to put meet you guys and put faces to names. You are a fantastic bunch and I would be in for next meet.
Lets get some more hikes out of the way and then we can do some winter trips, hopefully I will have a bigger car by then. I am also hoping there will be more members joining us.
Also, great photos - I see one of mine featured. Next time I will bring a proper camera.

Thanks Amol. It was nice to be connected with you and see that you have a crazy outdoor and fitness background (Cycling for 60 miles is no joke )
I hope to take some inspiration form you to stay healthy. :)
Let's plan the "aero show" meet for next week. Can you please share the full details here?
Here are a couple of videos of the beautiful hike from last week.
