Team-BHP - Any Meets in Chandigarh

Another meet we had on 30th may,2009

28th may,2009 sometime around 12:00 AM

Akshay bhaiya- "Mein apne auzaar khol raha hoon, in the mean time tu post maar de apne thread pe ki 30th ko meet karte hain."
Me- "ummmmm hmmmmm, show off of the ZMA eh, we'll do burnouts."
Akshay- "No, I'll be on car."
Me- "Oh, ok, show off of the 6539. BLING BLING BLING BLING!"

Since I'm a relative early sleeper unlike 2 owls here a.k.a Akshay bhaiya and Abhi bhai, I throw a post and doze off. 29th may unfolds and we get the conformations but wait! BLOODY HELL! WE HAVEN"T DECIDED ON A PLACE YET! DARN! Abhi has a word with Sumit and we decide the PIZZA HUT parking.
Hence we come to the conclusion,
TIME: 6:00 PM
VENUE: PIZZA HUT PARKING

30th may, 2009

5:30PM
OK, on our last meet, I messed up and ended up reaching about 45 minutes late. Though nobody said even a word about that but I felt that I WILL reach early in the next meet. (HEHE! I KNOW i've this cheeky habit). Anyways I reach by 5:30 and what do I see, an over full parking lot on front of the mee place. OK, where do I park now and also see to that the rest 6-7 cars can also fit in. And TADA! I park in front of the most expensive restaurant in the whole market, Barbequeue Nations. Why! least number of costumers. Thereby I also forward a message to everyone I knew was coming to the meet.

Then, Manik bhai calls
Manik-"Oye tu pagal hai kya?!"
Me-"hain! Kya hua?! Main vella jaldi ho gaya to, jaldi aa gaya!"
Manik-"Main uski baat ni kar raha! Main barbequeue nations ki baat kar raha hoon! PAGAL! LUTT JAYENGE!"
Me-"Obviously! I just meant the parking"
Manik-"OH! fir theek hai."

SLOWLY THE NUT-CASES GATHER

10 minutes later he turns up in his white zen. If you ever get to ride that car, you'd know how LOOOOWWW it is. So looow that it scraps everytime even an uneven surface comes on the road. LOLs. Anycase, we talk a bit and the next one to come is Rohit bhai. He parks the car, opens the door and what do I hear! Nope, I ain't telling. This is a public forum and kids also visit it. :D. Next up was Yathartha in his semi white 800 (semi-white because it seemed to have faded over the years or maybe, just maybe it could have been off white in color only. LOLs). Immediately he declared that he had come very briefly only. He had come with a friend of his whom he funnily had either asked or he himself was just staying near the car. Anyways between the chit chat again, came abhi in his redone alto. (Redone as in back on the road after standing idle for a month). I remember abhi and I laughing our skins off when manik bhai declared that the car had 2 broken pistons just by hearing the sound of the engine crank. The moment Abhi came, the first thing I and manik did was lept at the water bottle we had asked him to get on the way. Why? Well, both of us had to tank up. Me, I as a normal human, had to fulfil my thirst and manik, well, he had to fill the wiper fluid in his car. Some nut, hehe, but well, ain't we all.

Soon after, me and manik get back with the rest of the pack, I kind of notice that Yathartha seems to have lost all the blood on his face,(I mean expressionally). Turns out, the poor bloke had had a call from his old man. He'd delivered him the sod news of his AIEEE results being out. Add to that, Yathartha hadn't a clue what his roll number was, neither his dad, so he had to rush home to check his result (What rank you got mate?). The speed with which he shook hands with us and left was seriously commendable. Had I been in his place, I'd have delayed looking at the result for the time being (but well, that's me, hehe). After bidding aduieu to YC, came sumit along with his cousin and the moment he stepped out of his car, what do we see, hahahah, a FULL MOON! first words out of my mouth. Me-"hain! kal tak to aapke sir pe baal thhe!" Everybody giggling like dogs. (Yeah, I had seen sumit driving his car the day before, what can I say, it's hard to miss those alloys on his dezire). As we were there, discussing blackberries which was initiated because of mohit who had decided to come to the meet only after he had bought one (true nut cases we are, I must admit again), came the BLING MASTER, akshay bhai. The moment he came out, we were like, SORRY DUDE! THAT's TOOOOO much BLING to handle for us. Immediately we change topic and our meet starts to stand on what it's named after. ALL HAIL THE ALMIGHTY KENWOOD 6539. (BLING BLING BLING) .

None of us ever knew (I mean we the chd bhpians who get along together a good lot now) that if it'd be one thing that was in common for all of us, it is music. To be more precise, the love for ICE. People like me and akshay bhai hadn't a clue what on earth ICE meant before we had met for the first time(ok, i knew the FULL FORM only) but still, I must say, I've gained a lot in terms of knowledge only(sorry, i dont have the moolah to give some ICE to my lovely car :( ) but still, as they say, knowledge is money.(ok, I got a bit OT). But, before discussing ICE in full blast, we did had a brief discussion on how the system for registeration on team-bhp SUCKS! (Any moderators reading! Yeah, we are that pissed!). Read more to know why. As we were standing there, minding our own business, we saw this bloke on a std bullet who seemed a bit lost. Turned out, he was Vidhu (welcome fellow nut-case).

Vidhu-"Hey, sorry to bother you guys, but are you people having a team-bhp meet here?"
All of us-(in unisome) "YUP!"
Vidhu-"PHEW! Been searching for you guys in front of pizza hut for the past half hour."
Me-"Sorry man, I had posted Pizza hut but that parking's a bit crowded".
Vidhu-"Hehe! Before I say anything, WHAT ON EARTH IS PROBLEM WITH TEAM-BHP! THEY DONT WANT NEW MEMBERS OR WHAT! I read your posts and came here. I've already made 4 accounts there and each time it's rejected. WHAT ON EARTH AM I SUPPOSED TO WRITE IN THAT FRICKING WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE PART OF TEAM-BHP! THE ONLY THING LEFT IS CURSING!, anycase, nice to meet you guys. I saw the team-bhp sticker on the maroon accent and then only thought I'd ask. Else I even went in pizza hut and blew the whisers out of the poor receptionist. She must still be wondering, WHAT ON EARTH IS TEAM-BHP!".
All of us-(hahahahahahhahahahahhahahha)

Hence, we had a new memeber in the family. Back to the chit chat now. This time the topic went towards ICE! Finally and just as if he was waiting for us to start, BLING MASTER 2 mohit came. Man! That is tooooo much BLING for us! Everyone's beaming again! First of all, everyone congratulates mohit for the newly bought blackberry bold. YUMMY! All of us wanted to get our hands on it but darn you maverick, you didn't bring it only. Huh! I wanted to be the first one to scratch it. :D. Anycase we again, started discussing blackberries, speaking of which, Mav, where're the box opening pics? And, I also want to have a go with the bold. Loved the one abhi's been playing with for the past week or so. Anycase, after brief auditions of both the 6539 setups which are so darn similar singing and amazingly beautiful now, we realized that it was better to eat something or else we'll have to eat leftover daal at home(lols). 15 minutes of discussions later over which place to go eat at, we were still trying to decide, where to go when finally, sumit just blurted

Sumit-"Chalo ab bahot ho gaya! Chup chap overfrech chalo!"
Manik-"Nai, over fresh ni."
Sumit-(holding poor old manik in a friendly hug)-"Ab bol"
Manik-"chalo chalo, over fresh chalo"

At this point of time, akshay made a biig mistake,
Akshay(pointing at me)-"over frsh ke raaste mein, agar maine dekh liya tujhe meri nazar se door hote hue, to BEEEP BEEEP BEEEP BEEEP"
me-"oki"
Abhi-"ahahahahahah! over fresh to ye raha"

Don't know what got into me next, I got into my car and started it. Abhi knocked on the front passenger window,

Abhi-"ki gall!! Kitthhe ja raha hai! Over fresh to ye raha".
Me-"oh darn!"

Everyone yet again on the floor laughing.

Anyways we got sat in pizza hut and I have to have to admit! Bloody hell! It was an awsome experience eating out with all of you guys! Since I was busy eating, I don't remember much but a little of what I do remember.

1. Merry Marley- If you ever have the chance to stumble upon and meet manik, by God, I'll kill you if you don'task him about his house in barog! The MARLEY mansion! I wonder what on earth happened when whoever thought of the name of the place or maybe, I wonder or rather all of us wondered on the dinner table for a good 15 minutes, WHAT ON EARTH HAPPENS IN THAT HOUSE!!

2. Drinks- 8 people chose cold drinks either soft or not so soft, I chose ASSAM TEA. Yeah, yeah, so what, I had a bad cold ok.

3. Profession- I wonder how information technology has anything to do with cars. There were 9 of us, 8 from IT field and only manik bhai from the food industry(yummie, next time, you are cooking dinner for our meet)

After we had that amazing supper, sumit, his cousin(sorry man, forgot ur name) and manik took leave and I, Abhi, Akshay, Vidhu, Rohit, and Mohit extensively auditioned all the systems barring me and vidhu. While I've literally zero ICE in my i10, Vidhu has a bullet so besides the thump, no ice there also. But, the high point for me, that's gotcha be a test ride of maverick's swift! FRICKING AWSOME!! I drove a little and then had to complain,

Me-"Dude! Where's the turbo!"
Maverick-"Press the throttle full! U'll get it"
Me-(I do the same)"it was at a 1000rpm then, went uptil 2100 and then BOOOOOOM! as if we had a nitrous shot gone in the engine or something bamm!! we are doing 3000rpm, 3500rpm, gearshit, 2500, 3500, gear-shift, 2500, 3500.
Maverick-"WICKED SMILE ON FACE"!

All in all, an amazing meet guys! And the best part we were already planning the next one. And as rkbharat said
"back to back meets, CHDians, you guys rock"
seriously, we do.(HEHEHEHEHE)

P.S. Just came to know that rohit was so impressed with the 6539, he also chucked his 3050 pio and got one. Hehe, meet purpose solved and meet title proved right.

Also, I'm the youngest of the lot here and hence just for fun may have said a couple of things regarding someone that may be taken badly but I swear by cars that I haven't done it intentionally and everything is in GOOD SPIRIT only. Please forgive me. I'm a kid after all.
