As there been progress on this planned meet summarising the plan, confirmed attendees and Location options.

Plan: Breakfast Meet on 27th Feb

On 27th morning, i will be back from Amravati to Pune by train.
If train reaches pune on time i.e. 6:30 am, i will attend this breakfast meet surely.

As far as venue is concerned, i am inclined to option 1 and 3.

I have to make a mumbai trip this month which is either coming weekend or the next. Still undecided. Marking myself as tentative.

For folks familiar with Kothrud and vicinity, is there a good eating place on the DP road (starting from More and going towards Kumar Parisar)? It's a wwwide road and would have plenty of parking.

Yes, there is a branch of the Hotel Potoba.
The food is good.
If any hotel around kothrud is the venue for the meet, i will be on time @8am at the meet.:D

As for the venues, I think we'll be troubled to find parking at all the 3. I might come by bike :p. If a place near DP Road / Kothrud is chosen, I might as well walk. hehe.
But I'm in, wherever it is. At last I'm sure I'll be at the TBHP Tapri!

Now this is rubbing it in, I will be moving to the same street (a building on the same street to be precise!) in a few weeks :OT
Parking definitely isnt a problem there. the thalipeeth at Potoba is good.

I checked out the timings for Potoba (Kumar Parisar DP Road) on the net and they are open between 11 AM and 11 PM. So this option is ruled out.

Actually what mmxylorider suggested was right. DP Road is very ride and parking is not an issue. Now to find a place which would be open for Breakfast.

Regarding the options listed. I know Wadeshwar opens by 8 and sometimes even at that time we have people queuing up :Shockked:

I hope Kollage and Cafe Vohumans are open as well.

Darn...I was already drooling on a Thalipeeth :Frustrati . Its terrible in Kothrud really. No businesses wake up before 9-10 AM on weekends...

How About "Hotel Sheetal"? Its right next to Maharshee Karve Statue (And Sai Driving school :D) Its a sister concern of Vaishali (FC Road) and is a good joint. As far as I know, it opens up by 8. Couldnt find phone number though. If someone can check, it would be great. By tomorrow night, I'll visit the joint and confirm the details of business hours anyway.

The road is wide, and also with dedicated parking lane all along. It wont be an issue. Definitely not at 8AM.

Another one is Hotel Apsara - besides Nehru Stadium on Tilak Road. Behind Pandit Auto showroom. Amazing breakfast joint. But parking is virtually non existent for cars. (Unless we park inside the Hirabaug Town Hall committee facilities.)

Otherwise, Wadeshwar is fine too.

Ok, Hotel Sheetal is NOT a sister concern of Hotel Vaishali. I know the owner very well (have been eating at that place for over 10 years now).
Anyone needs to numbers, lemme know, i'll PM them to you. The food is good, parking wont be a problem and the place opens at 7 AM. I might as well walk to that place :D.

OT: Hotel Roopali and Hotel Amrapali are sister concerns of Hotel Vaishali (The same owner). They used to have another Hotel called "Deepali" on the same road, but its now in ruins. (Sorry for the Hotel Vaishali Gyaan).

@Kenpachi. Where were you dude? Thank god you are back.
Drive to Lonavala seems interesting. Guess with the group growing bigger, one needs to combine the early morning drive along with tapri at end location.
And I'd join based on where I'm on 27th.
