Faced this issue in my WagonR couple of months back. In my case, the reversing a few meters on the road did stop the noise but the stone was still there. It was removed after opening and un-mounting the wheel. This small stone chip (~4-5 mm, used while road tarring) was lodged between the disk and the protective plate behind it.
