Can I ask how do you do that?

I compared it with the earlier invoiced raised by VW during the part replacement under warranty. As there are bear two different part number depending on the side, I got remaining details from Boodmo.

They have used all OEM parts and I had verified the part numbers. This was third time my vehicle's ABS sensor failed in last 5 years. The first two times, I got it replaced under extended warranty.
I honestly think, by spending 5k with VW, you will not get anything for the extra money spent. :)

Got the part replaced and completed the 10th year service. They have reduced the pricing and got it for around 3K+ GST. That means Gomechanic rates are not cheap either.
The total bill for full service with some part changes like spark plugs came to 17K.
Other than this ABS issue the car is rock solid on its 11th year now. Not even a squeak to complain about when 91K Kms has been completed. If not for Covid, she could have easily touched 6 figures.

Thanks a ton for this information. My knowledge about ABS sensor quotes were based on the invoice raised by Autobahn VW in November 2019. I am glad to know that they have slashed the prices for good.

Need a bit of help, the VW logo on my keyfob fell off while it was in my pocket and all my attempts to reattach the logo have left it totally destroyed:coldsweat. Looking up a replacement logo sticker on boodmo(part no: 3C0837891A), it showed an eye watering price for such a small part.

So, has anyone faced this issue before and do any of you guys know where to get an el cheapo replacement?

So did mine, several times. I kept thinking that I must do something about it before it got lost, but I didn't. :crying

This is indeed true. VW has already slashed the spare parts prices in 2019. They are planning to reduce it further by 11-12 percent from March 2021.

This is as per Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, VW India.

It's a great news for people like me who would like to keep the car as long as possible. clap:

Did you manage to fix yours? The only place I've been able to find them at a reasonable price is Aliexpress and even then the shipping costs more than the product itself.

No. I lost it.

My plan was to clean off the existing stickyness and try a drop of superglue.

I lost the same a couple of months ago. That key fob without logo is an eyesore. But thankfully spare key is identical unlike many other cars in the segment. I'm using that regularly now and keeping the 'logo-less' key as spare key.

My model has only one remote key.:disappointed

My 3 months old Polo had a gate crash while parking. The left door and the left rear quarter panel had starches and paint ripped off. The quarter panel has been damaged the most with a hole in the panel right next to the left rear door.

Attaching the pictures.

I'm more worried about the hole in the above picture. Can this be fixable without leaving any scars?
How will this be fixed? Will the replace the entire rear quarter panel? Or will Volkswagen cut and weld that particular spot?
How much charges am I looking at?
The left rear door and quarter panel might need painting.
I'm yet to visit the service center, planning to go this Sunday.

I've comprehensive insurance, took the insurance from the dealership. This is going to my first claim.

Maybe it is not a wise decision to make a claim from insurance as it messes up with your annual no claim bonus - if this is a factor at all. Do evaluate after you get a quotation from the SC.

That's a really unfortunate thing to happen and that too on a fairly new vehicle. Take your car to the service center and ask them to give you an estimate for the damage, knowing volkswagen and the amount of damage it's gonna be on the higher side.

Regarding losing no claim bonus for the second year, it's not going to be that big of an amount, it's only 20% of first party cover, moreover for the second year take insurance from outside as vw might overcharge for your next insurance (showrooms do that to make extra money)

As it's a new vehicle and under warranty, it's better to stick with company service center. Do keep us posted.

Very sad. I have done much more damage in terms of dents and removed paint, though I don't think that my worst included an actual hole.

Be assured that most car damage can be repaired without scars. Car body workers have the most astonishing skills, as much as silver and gold smiths! I'm guessing that there are several options for hole filling; the ultimate would be replacing the panel. Do let us know what the dealer advises

This is what it looks like on mine, have been quoted 5k from 1 local garage but I am looking for a better destination to get this fixed.
