BTW, what is the big deal with M800s returning a highway mileage of 22kmpl ? I thought it was the norm rather than an exception.
We had an 85 model (first shape) M800 with which I have done many Madras-Kerala trips (800 odd kms one way) and it has always returned 22-23 kmpl on highways. And that too even when till last year (in its 19th year). All this being stock and with the usual 5K service.
Also, on highways, I do not drive for economy. Drive at around 80-90kmph
whenever roads permit
Thats the whole point.
