Macha, I think he means in India. The Indian Lancer is just looks (Devarshi. don't hit me!) compared to the Evo stuff. The WRC cars are bloody expensive man.
We all know what the fastest drag car in India was built on, don't we??

Heh. I can almost see the great big smile on Devarshi's face.

To be honest, no, you will have heartache trying to mod a Vtec to the max. For one simple reason: any blow-up or part replacement works out more expensive. Also, the car is out of production, so spares will be continuously more expensive in the coming years.

It was checked b4 the race and also after the race since the organisers were as suspicious as u and me. Lets be optimistic and think about doing up something similar with ur Baleno.

I heard that a lot of Bangalore tuners/racers doubt the EVO's timings. They're accusing ACI for giving 'tuned' timing for the EVO.

I won't support any of u.But, this is the truth. I saw the EVO at bangalore and was with the support team in Mumbai, last year. Other than the ACI timings, there was also a GTech pro used in the car. It showed the same 12.47 as the ACI timings. This was right in front of my eyes. So, i choose to believe that there a 12 sec car in our country.

Whats ur doubt??

The stock Indian Lancer chassis is the same chassis which is used by the EVOs. This chassis is good for 300bhp.
Moreover, other than the doors, boot and rear seats, nothing in that EVO is Indian.

yeah that's exactly my point....instead of doing this he could have bought an evo itself....ok anyways his money his choice.

Are the 4-WD drive-shaft and the rear diff a direct fit (with some minor work) or does it require major modification to the rear and under body of the car.

Direct fit, from what I know. The chassis is the same throughout.
