High engine Noise

Dear BHPians,

As i drive ZEN 2001 MPFI, 24k kms done, mainly on B'lore streets, since from 15-20 days, i experiencing sudden rise in engine noice, when in closed glass, i hearing like booom noice, first it was very silent,smooth on both LPG & petrol, it's pleasure to sit in, even in engine idle condition. on 25th of feb. i made the service of vehicle in RNS B'lore, complaing them about noice, but they are not able identify the problem, after this, i contacted my old experinced mechanic, he says there may be a probem in fuel injectors/air/vaccum pipes, but i hesitate to give him.

please advice me on this. waitng for your valuable replies.

you say you had the problems examined by a dealership and a mechanic and they couldn't sort it out...
how would you expect people who haven't even looked at your vehicle to sort out them out for you?

give it some time. people will answer your queries.

Dear SubbaRao,

A lot of people don't have much tech about diesel cars,old models,etc.
Even i didn't have any replies when i posted about my Sumo's woes.
Just be patient.Don't expect replies in a single day. Moreover ur problem hasn't been clear to me.

Subbarao,

I had a Zen, and clearly remember that the air-con compressor noise was loud with a typical whine. I have seen it in countless other zens.

Try switching the air-con off, and checking for the booming noise.
