ur car can give u 20kmpl in city

ur car can give u 20kmpl in city if u drive cautiously
and maintain ur car's engine

1. change the engine oil after every 4000 kms
2. always drive in higher gears, don't press the acc. pedal too much
as in a higher gear the engine would ware off qiuckly
3.do not frequent the use of the clutch pedal

what if one uses long drain oils that run for over 10000kms??? i agree with keeping the engine speed low.i drive automatic car and i accelerate till 2000rpm and leave the accelerator and the gear shifts up and i keep it under 2000 till im in the fourth gear and cruising at about 50kmph.i get a mileage as good as the manual one and sometimes even better.

IMHO. Fe totally depends upon your driving and city traffic conditons. Ya reliance diesel is better..

Even Corsa 1.4 owners get FE around 14 - 15 here in chandigarh

I drive light footed 80% of the time. and my car has only done like 3800 kms. No problems faced till now.

And regarding the most fuel efficient car thing. My bro gets 21 in his Alto and i was reading a local newspaper on cars 2 days back and they test run the elentra crdi here in chandigarh and it returned 14.8 in city and 18.9 on highway.
