Just started working on a damaged housing of a 2006 Honda CVT transmission.

This was a damaged housing on a honda city 2006, some bloke tried to use m-seal to hold back the ATF from dripping, the owner tried various methods including an exorbitant quote from Honda itself, finally we decided that we should step in, auto transmissions are not easy to re build and require expertise, dismantling and dis assembling is very easy and every mechanic thinks he can do it, however in the end they all end up in the junk yard as people do not understand which part goes where, this gear box has been dismantled and the component will now go for a complete clean up, following this a new kit will be used to replace old seals, clutch plates and pressure plates, of course we are going to use a scrapped housing to replace this broken one (a new housing costs approximately 80K) a new housing is very tough to find. shall post more pix as work progresses.

Yes, very informative. But we need captions explaining each step, else it is all gobbledygook. Opening and successfully repairing an AT whether CVT or otherwise is a tough one. So my complements on a tough job (I guess) successfully undertaken, and sharing the pictures. But we definitely needs some explanations/descriptions.
