Air Filter Change

Hi

Recently one of my frnd showed me a new air filter in his car, it made his car have a roaring sound.

He told me dat he installed it coz dis filter sucks more air and increases pickup.!!

is it possible?? coz engine has fixed volume and increasing more air will make mixture lean.??
