Well, apart from improved looks, they serve no purpose. Of course, those could be used as ski rails if your car ever turns topsy-turvy in a snowy region !!

Cat On Roof Rails

An old thread put to good use; something that has been bothering me.....

A cat in my car park snuggles up on my roof-rail, leaving durty pug-maks all over. Have been waiting to catch the "respected cat" on the act for the last 6 months.... no luck !!!!!

Wondering if I can latch a trap on the roof-rail?

....thats wonderful ideas. Hope some Wagon R owner has put that idea to use, if he was struck with one, in first place

Interesting to see a 3 year old thread coming back to life !! I hope members were involved in intensive research on what can be done with the roof rails, so the cat trap ideas too !

I use them to hold on for support when I wipe the top. Also one can depend on it for a stronger grip if you are involved in a fierce fighting on the road. Hold the roof rail with your left hand and use your right hand for fist fighting. Infact I doubt how strong this thing is.

Re: What is it on top of WAGON-R?

Bumping up an old thread. Saw some more uses of the roof rails over the last weekend during the SCC Show:

Re: What is it on top of WAGON-R?

Ski-Racks on Beat and other small cars look good. Most hatchbacks with ski-racks fitted to the far ends of the roof would look nice (just for show off). I noticed the Ski-Racks on Tata Aria this morning, boy oh boy it was like 2 railway tracks on the already tall car, it was huge.
