An extreme air filter like K&N Typhoon will definitely help. This should be the 1st add-on. An FFE technically helps too.

The cheapest yet effective option is the K&N filter and sticking to one petrol pump - Reliance/Shell: in that order. Do not add any other hardware bolt-ons that claim to increase mileage.

There are some additives also rite?? Remember seeing some sales guys near petrol pumps and traffic signals with such stuff. Don't know how far they work

Hello! I'm not sure about this,

Does fitting an MSD ignition system to the engine increase the mileage? Because I think if more sparks are made rather than just one spark, wouldn't it become more efficient as well as more power?

Correct me if i'm wrong..

Sorry for reactivating old thread.

But I strongly believe that this thread is a good subject even today. Consider the potential environment benefit if even a fraction of total car commuting mass get FE connscious. IMHO it will do a lot of good to every body.

Request Bhpian to please contribute for noble cause

Make the wife lose 10 kg (or more). I did this and experienced an immediate increase in mileage!

A) Buy a fuel efficient car in the first place.

b) Maintain it in a very good condition.

c) Fill fuel from the best bunk around.

d) Inflate tyres 1 - 2 PSI over the prescribed limit.

e) Drive in a mileage conscious way with a light foot.

f) Car pool if possible.

g) Use the Mobike/Bicycle (or even walk) for short errands whenever practical to do so.

h) Give a complete holiday to all your vehicles once a week and use only public transportation for that day.

IMHO these are the only ways to save fuel. Avoid any kind of tampering with the car.

1. Good oil and frequent changes + filter
2. Good quality petrol
3. Stay away from petrol stations who fudge with meters or try to con you
4. Chech tyre pressure twice a weak
5. Use AC only when it is really essential
6. Dont trash the car around, drive steadily and sensibily
7. Where possible , use public transport ( I strictly follow this !!)
