Which lube for suspension bushings ?

I am facing some problems of noise from the front suspension on my Tuc and i am sure that these are coming from the sway bar bushes which were replaced a couple of days back. I read some articles on the internet which recommend that the swar bar bushings should be lubricated with a silicone lubricant.

Now the issue:

1) Most of the silicone lubricant sprays available in India (to name a few - cyclo or abro ) are not pure silicone lubricants but contain petroleum or petroleum distillates which make them unsafe for rubber and plastics parts.

2) I have not been able to find any kind of pure silicone lube in the market in Delhi ( Palika bhavan and batra spares included )

3) There are a number of so called safe lubes for rubber like PTFE based, dupont krytox, dielectric grease, lithium grease etc but i have no idea of which one is safe and which is not and the second problem being that none of these are readily available in India.

4) There is a teflon based dry lube available at firefox bike stores (mentioned in one of the forum threads) which is used for lubricating bike chains/sprocket and i happended to buy one but discovered later that these also contain heptane distillates which again is not safe on rubber and plastic.

So the questions :

1) Which lube ?
2) Where to find one in Delhi ?
3) Has anyone tried lubricating the sway bar bushes/other rubber parts and with which of the lubes ? Did it help ?

Cyclo is safe for rubber bushes. This is from personal experience.

How expensive / difficult to procure are these bushes? How critical is it that you need max life out of them and not have them degenerate a little due to minor quantities of petroleum distillates in your lubricant?

If you want a pure silicone lubricant with zero traces of petroleum products, go to a dental goods store and buy a can of Kavo handpiece oil spray.

I haven't found any major disadvantage of using lithium grease over the years - rubber bushes don't seem to fall apart.

SS, where can be procure this lithium grease? Does it have any local name( I mean, is the term 'lithium grease' used by mechanics and shop keepers). Lastly, what are the common applications of this grease.

SS, the suspension bushes are not that expensive but i do not want to take any chances with critical suspension parts and hence the apprehension in using silicone lubes with petroleum content.

My quest for a silicone lubricant ended on ebay and i ordered something called carlube which is is supposedly pure silicone. Cost was abt. 800 bucks (a 70 gm tube) including shipping.

Interestingly, two or three days after i ordered the silicone lube, the suspension noise stopped by itself. Observed for a week now and the noise has really gone (for the noise vanishing by itself) and (for all the effort put in to find a good silicone lubricant )

Did it rain just before the noise stopped? If it did then this stoppage on noise is temporary. Again speaking from personal experience.

I used this to good affect on my stabilizer bushings and struts - OWS Adhering Lubricant.

Re: Which lube for suspension bushings ?

Not sure what car are we talking about here; however if bushes are making noises then there is something amiss and lubing it will be a temp fix;

mostly bushes when installed new you have to use special lubes [MB has those pastes] and not grease; but i am not sure anyone does that really and for most of the car it makes no difference as bushes are cheap as chips

Sway bar bushes are not really THAT critical... you could remove them and still drive around at moderate speeds quite happily, and not know if anything was missing.
