Can anybody summarize the following information?
1) Fastest car in 800cc to the 1400 cc segment
2) The car/cars having the best interiors in the 800cc to the 1400 cc segment
3) Fastest car in 1500cc to the 1600 cc segment
4) The car/cars having the best interiors in the 1500cc to the 1600 cc segment
5) The fastest and the best interior car under 10 Lakh
Fastest means the 0-100 timing.
thanks
If we considering only 0-100, I guess, Esteem 1.3L is fastest in both the segments. (I do not know if NHC VTec has posted better figures).
Are you taking Stock cars?/.. or modded?.. Stock Yes.. the MPFI Esteem is the fastest! Old Honda City will be a close second..
Ans
1) M800 :D hehe No Esteem it is
2) Small carrs then between Swift & getz whichever you like. Above would bea close between Fiesta(good seat leathers & Instrument console)
3) Baleno :-)
4) Fiesta/NHC/Aveo
5) Not too sure but could be Optra(again not too sure about its pricing/interiors)
1)esteem would be the fastest
2)aveo 1.4
3)nhc vtec
4)aveo 1.6/nhc
5)fastest vtec/cedia...ineriors same as 4
hope that answered ur q's
yes, iam only talking about stock cars here.
fastest is not 0-100; it is quickest!
fastest relates to top whack!!
well,
quickest upto 1600 CCs:- New Honda City VTEC, 10.66secs for 0-100kmph
fastest upto 1600 CCs:- New Honda City VTEC, 190kmph
best interiors upto 1600 CCs:- personal taste
quickest upto 1400 CCs:- Esteem MPFi, 11.49secs for 0-100kmph
fastest upto 1400 CCs:- Swift, 174kmph
best interiors upto 1400 CCs:- personal taste
quickest under 10L:- Cedia, 10.23secs for 0-100kmph (it is just over 10L bracket but still worth it!)
fastes under 10L:- Cedia, 195kmph
best interiors under 10L:- personal taste
all figures are picked from ACI.

Forgot Toyota Corolla......
The stock NHC Vtec has a higher top speed than the stock OHC Vtec? That's something I didn't know..always thought it would be marginally lower since it's less powerful and tall boy design.

thanx buddy!
Hey all u ppl how can u all forget the palio 1.6 sports 100bhp, i suppose its the fastest in 1600 segment considering the power to weight ratio i dont know the exact figs but the palio 1.6 is definetly a tough compeition for all this cars.
1 & 3. fastest car to do 0-100 is no doubt the OHC and NHC VTEC - both break the 11-second barrier. the palio 1.6, baleno, fiesta 1.6 and esteem come close with 11.xx s timings (from ACI)
2 & 4. best interiors would be the NHC, though many might also prefer the aveo and the fiesta with leathers
5. NHC-VTEC, as the corolla base model does not have the great interiors of the high-end ones, and i dont find anything great about the interiors of the cedia.

Has ACI tested NHC VTec till 190kmph? I somewhere read that they never pushed it beyond 172kmph. Or was it Overdrive? Please confirm.

Y not!!! If a 77bhp I-dsi can match the 100bhp City 1.5 in top speed. Why can't a 100bhp NHC Vtec beat the 106bhp Old Vtec?
Top speed is more about aerodynamics than outright power. Just bcoz the NHC Vtec is a tallboy, it doesn't mean it's not aerodynamic. With a COD rating of 0.29, it's bound to cut through air, faster than the old Vtec.
Ofcourse, stability at 190 is a totally diff story.
