Installed ICE. Some interior lights not working now

Hi,

I just finished installing a new ICE in my i20. While everything is running fine, I'm having a strange issue where the instrument panel illumination won't switch on when I turn on the headlights. Along with that the AC knob has a green light when switched on. But when I switch on the headlights, this goes off. Same for the air recirculation button. Mine is an old i20 without automatic climate control.

Does anyone know why this is happening?

Check the power wiring done for the ICE, where have they tapped the inputs from? Also is it hooked on to the car illumination for dimming?

Seems like a wrong wiring and return current flow. Get it sorted soon.

Probably faulty wiring by the ICE installer, Alternatively it might be possible that you have a really powerful ICE system installed which might be drawing too much power. Do get it checked and rectified

Re: Installed ICE. Some interior lights not working now

I installed the system, so no trouble of anyone else screwing things up.

Found the issue and got it fixed. Since it is a magna model, there is a empty button slot next to the rheostat illumination control. I had removed the empty button to fit the bass control knob. The wiring setup for fog lamps were present which was connected to the empty slot. I forgot to connect it back to complete the circuit.
