Gadgets/electronics in your car

Hi All,

I would like to understand from you guys the role of battery in powering all the In Car Entertainment equipment and all the accessories that go into transforming your car into a hot rod. HOw important is the battery and hence does it impact the choice of the battery.

i believe that battery is used to power all in car entertainment equipment only if the car engine is not turned on. once the engine starts then the load gets transferred to the alternator.
