Wanted : Quarter Mile Time Calculators and other Drag Related Software !!!

As the title mentions could u pls post links to some reliable quarter mile time calculators given parameters such as weight , speed , 1/4 mile times , horsepower etc etc .. Such that by entering any 3 of the above parameters the results of the other parameter are obtained ..

PS : Do also post about such interesting software pertaining to drag , track racing or performance in general ..

Try Cartest 4.5. It's the closest you can get to the real thing.

See, the problem with simpler softwares is that the lesser number of variables you put in, the harder it bcomes for the softwares to calculate realistic reasults.

Ask Wolf, before the drag, we calculated his 1/4 mile time with the drag spec parameters and the software said it would be 16.5 secs. He did a 16.53!!

How close can you get?

The 1st window asks for u to enter the BHP .. Having modded the engine , im not quite sure what power my car is putting out (and we dont have dynos either) ... So what do i do in such a case .. My main aim is to figure out how much power is reaching the wheels given the 1/4 mile time my car ran and not the other way round ..

Btw how did u calculate the bhp figures on wolfs car ?? Did u account for the ECU mods too ??

It doesn't work that way. What about aerodynamics, cc, dimensions, gearing, tyresize, drive (fwd, rwd, awd) etc. These parameters are important too.

In anycase, try this and see if you get reliable results. http://www.4lo.com/calc/dynocalc.htm

We just used the figures the tuners said the mods would give.

From what i've got on my cartest software, here are the ratios.

1st - 3.54
2nd - 1.89
3rd - 1.28
4th - 0.96
5th - 0.81
Final D - 3.78

Now, cartest only allows 2 digits after the decimal so even if you enter the actual ratios, it'l end up looking like this.

Eg : 4.058 bcomes 4.06.

Thanks for the gear ratios .. Btw after putting up all the parameters it shows my car to be doing a quarter mile in 17.6 sec with a power output of 108 bhp and weight of 2172 lbs .. Weird as the car is doing consistent times of 16.8-16.9 .. Weird or am i missing something here ???

PS : Anyone else with any other calculators ??
