Accent GLE - CNG Fittment in Delhi

Hi all,
Well i had a Ford Ikon which i sold recently. Now I am looking for a new Car. My average monthly driving is around 2000 Km so only a CNG vehicle suits me. Now I have test driven Indica Xeta CNG and it surely is a great value for money but switching from a 3 boxcar to a small car is not very easy so I was thinking that I can get a Hyundai Accent GLE and get CNG Kit installed. Now the question is - Is it possible to install a CNG kit in Accent (in Delhi) and if yes then where can I get it from? Please advice...

Regards

You can try Lovato Autogas from Italy, their indian distributor's office is in Palam Vihar, Gurgaon. Dont have the exact address but you could try the yellow pages or justdial. Their's is the best aftermarket LPG/CNG kits you can get here.

Hello Jasmeet,
You can find details here.. http://transport.delhigovt.nic.in/cng_lpg.htm . If you planning to buy new Accent please confirm that CNG Kit can be installed on Bharat Stage III cars.

Jasmeet, I suggest you wait for a month more, since Hyundai has unleashed the plan to offer CNG Santro, they may also offer CNG Fittment on the Accent like the Optra or Lancer..! However should you choose a second hand car for the CNG pupose then you can choose between a good lancer, OHC, Accent..rather not go on Ikon..! That ways you can get a good car with CNG for around 4- 4.5 Lakhs..including service, repairs,CNG ,RTO etc..!

Hi,
I checked with Hyundai folks and was informed that it would take them 4 to 6 months to launch the CNG Santro. Also i beleive that lot of other cars HAVE to come up with CNG options otherwise Xeta / Optra / Lancer will beat them to death in terms of sales.
The point is that it will take some time before such cars are introduced and now that i have given away my Ikon, i have to ride my bike 60 Km every day!!

Second Hand Car: Anyone here wants to offer me a good car I am willing to buy if its in decent condition.

search for a good Lancer 2001 Model or later..will cost you not more than 3.5 or so..! Add the Kit..!
However the car should be good and well maintained, You can even request to go through service records..At least at Excel motors where my lancer gets serviced, they have computer records for all service logs or R/R etc..Could even look at a OHC..!
