Nice...

if only i owned one of those!

I had devoted days of my life looking for an online/digital or even print manual for my W123 200, but no official print manuals available and the only half manual i could find online was not pertaining to the 200.
The official manual was available on a set of cds for $140
Apparently mercedes used to give its workshops manuals on micofilm!! ...seems weird.....but when u think about it, it makes a lot of sense... mechanics could veiw the manual projected on a wall/screen and would never need to flip pages with their dirty hands, instead just wind the microfilm handle!

Rehann

There should be print manuals. Back in 1974, my dad was planning to bring a Merc over on TR. He bought the official manuals, I used to go throuh these - later gave it to an uncle of mine. The car nver came, my father chickened out of paying 200% and sold the car on in the UK for a profit !!!!! Mercs were in short supply then esp. diesels

Ajmat,

I tried forever but no luck..... there were only those 3rd part manuals which werent good enough IMO. Maybe 1974 was before the microfilm days? (mine is a 1983 W123). I wonder what is better - owning a merc or selling a merc for a profit? ;-]
Vishnu - read my post again bud.

Hey GTO,

thanks.....this does look more specific than the popular Haynes manuals..... but i dont think its the official merc manual (coz no logo).
If i had seen this 1-2years back i would have definitely picked it up (that when i was taking time off before collg so i had time for this!). It seems way better than anything i had managed to find in print!!

thnx
Rehaan.
