I hv a Lancer Diesel and it jerks while accelerating after changing gears... It jerks more when the A/C is turned on.. On contacting ciompany's service centre they say all Lancers hv this problem...

Any idea how to get this fixed??

Hey Aku,
Well,as Deeps said, adulterated fuel might be one of the causes.
The prime cause in ue case is the Throttle.U have to get the carbon cleaning done on that.Secondly, get the injectors etc serviced. And check with the oil tank in the engine bay,it might also have a minor leakage on the left side of it.Get tha cleant up well.Nearly all lancers have this oil problem.
Get all this work done and u'll be more than satisfied with ur performance then.

How many kms do you have on the car? Did this problem start only recently?

Dont believe the HM dealer. There is no diesel Lancer that must jerk if the engine is in a healthy state of tune. Even though it is underpowered by todays standards, I have thoroughly enjoyed driving diesel lancers. Smooth as silk.

I am using IBP's premium diesel "Shakti".. Got all my oil filters and Diesel filter also changed...
Will check for oil leak.. but will that lead to jerks.. even if oil is at normal level..

Ummmm... AK... hehe... u sure u r not shifting gears too soon?
Dunno much about today's engines but long back when we had Omni, sometimes my dad would shift into fourth gear too soon (u know dads!) and the car would jerk like mad! Same thing would happen when the speed would drop and he'd refuse to downshift!

HI,
Check up the atomizer and injectors, i think an overhaul of the atomizer should solve the problem.

Cheers
