water trouble

people
have just noticed a problem in my moms vtec..ohc
when it rains water enters from the clutch n acc pedal...
the mechanics couldnt find any reasons..

wanted some opionions on the reason this could be hapenning
..only happens during the rain..

Seems your VTEC has leakage. That's it. Check the windshield sealant for bubbles. If necessary, replace sealant. Usually, OHC doesn't spring leakages unless;

a) The car is parked under the sun whole day long, or
b) The car was involved in some mishap damaging the A/B/C pillars.

Also, check the firewall. There could be chances that the brake booster mounts/clutch cable packing/throttle cable packing have gotten loose. There are chances that the water might be entering from under the hood as well.
