during my recent visit to murud i saw a ohc on fire, most of it was from front of car and luckly a fire engine reached there very fast, the car is history anyway, this is the fourth car i saw live burnig and the third honda.
after seeing this i plan to install a fire extigusher in car which i can operate from driver seat itself in an emergency. have any of you done this any comments? which tyoe to be used? what capacity is required for a car engine bay to be flooded.

I think thats a very valid point gigy .With the number of fires you hear about in cars it does make sense to have one .It might even help some one else in case for an emergency . Looking fwd to info on what specifications one should have from the experts.

You could try the handy CeaseFire type. My friend used to have one in his Conti after the engine bay caught fire once on the road (the autorickshaw drivers helped put down the fire by throwing sand into the bay).
