my name : drift2race
occupation : aircraft engineer
age : 24
current car : alto

Welcome to TBHP.
What kind of mods done to RS ??

Cheers,
Mugen_Power.

basically added better shocks to improve handling , low profile tyres to further reduce ground clearance , improved & strengthened axles & double disc brakes for maximum braking & yeah our car has no tail lights (they cost a bomb when you break them trying to drift in delhi )

awwwsssum modification list...
New way of modding a car i guess :Shockked:

Looks like another hyperformance modded ride....

these are no hyper performance mods , these are meant to make the car handle better on delhi roads while swaying from left to right ! no tail lights is because when we started we would break those every day or two and then shell out thouysands to get them replaced and again break them , hence we decided agains installing them anymore & added sheetmetal molded to take up space ! thanks for interest though i cant post pics of the car as the owner of the car has decided against it !

Double disc brakes????? pls. elaborate with pics. on a car double disc brakes!!!

Welcome to TBHP dude. if possible try and get pics of just the disc brakes.

Hey,

Do you mind elaborating on the same. What exactly do you mean by the same and where did you get it done. I'm very curious and would love to do the same in my car.

Viper

double disc brakes means two brake discs on one axle , for this your rim needs to be as flat as posssible to accomodate two brake discs and one brake pad {these are sourced from the pulsar 180 dtsi as they are very thin} . this means a fairly big *** tyre ! i cant post pics , its not my car you see , i have a fully stock alto , thats it !

2 discs 1 pad. how many calipers????? If you have 2 discs you will need 4 pads. and what about the brake line.
Pls. provide some technical details on this. as this is doubtful.

Suggest you start a new thread for this.

i am an aircraft engineer by profession & the brake pads or calipers i am using here are sourced from an atr 42-500 turboprop aircraft , these are unserviceable units for the aircraft made to fit the brakes of a car , they are pretty heavy duty & extremely expensive if you try to source the original ! a/c brakes require only 2 pads & have as many as 6 discs made of carbon , enough technical jargon , you will not be able to source them anywhere locally !

How about pics of just the whole discs, pad and calipers thingamajing from the aircraft then? It's not pics from the car, so no issues of permission there; and i'm pretty sure you would be having pics of the same, considering you ARE an aircraft engineer! :D

Or atleast if you can upload drawings of the whole setup for laymen like me to understand!

Godspeed,

Alok

yeah pics of the aircraft brake are no big issue , wait until evening and i might as well get those for the car too !

i wonder if drifting is an another word for street racing! or is it that you guys do it somewhere safe without traffic / people around.

i dint get the funda of double disk brakes... a big technical term for a newbie like me. some pics would definitely help.

how come the cops dont catch you guys (read your cars) without tail lamps?

whatever you guys do..."play safe with no traffic/people around"

anyways welcome to team BHP. and enjoy your stay here!

take care and drive safe! :)

Will you teach us how to drift?
