Hem-Kiran Diesels: Fuel-Injector Repairs

The reason for this thread is the following quoted post.

Renault refuse to answer any questions via email when I ask for an explanation for premature injector failure. They Simply say it is due to contaminated fuel. I asked them to provide a test report to support their assertion. They say they cannot - meaning I should just believe them and shell out Rs 1,00,000! The customer service reps are just "talking heads" who give canned reponses -- regardless of the question you ask -- developed by their management.

Did you know that Renault that a contract with injector manufacturer -- Continental -- that prevents Continental in India from serviceing or even selling parts for the injectors All I need is a Rs 3,000 part (piezo electric stack). Instead Renault wants me to shell out Rs 25,000 per injector. I hear that this price is inflated as injectors on average cost about Rs 10,000.
I have no affiliations with HemKiran Diesels and have not used their services. They have three branches in Maharashtra and I urge local members suffering out of warranty Injector issues check them out and post a review.

Thanks for sharing! One of the few such outlets that looks promising. Even the pics on their website show some method & order to the establishment. In addition to injectors, they repair a whole host of other components (turbos, power steering pumps etc.).

Quote:
Hem Kiran Diesels, an authorized BOSCH Workshop established in the year 1956, is a sister concern of Ghatge Patil Automobiles Limited and located at Kolhapur in southern Maharashtra. In the year 2005, Hem Kiran Diesels became one of the First BOSCH CRDi DIESEL WORKSHOPS in India.

In today’s a changing market scenario, we have equipped ourselves with BOSCH EPS 815 Test Bench & BOSCH CRI 846 ( CRDI High Pressure Pump & Fuel Injection Testing facility). With this facility we can undertake the repair of BOSCH High Pressure Pumps and Injectors using fully computerized and automated equipment.

In order to keep ourselves updated and exclusive in this changing market scenario, we have also equipped ourselves with a Hartridge AVM-2PC Test Bench and Hartridge AVM-2PC CRDi injector testing and repair equipment. It is a fully computerized and automated equipment for cars with Delphi and Continental / Siemens high pressure pump and injector systems at our Sangli workshop.

Re: Hem-Kiran Diesels: Fuel-Injector Repairs

Sankar. .thanks for sharing I shall give them a call and investigat. FYI, tey have similar places like this (I found 2 -- Sarabana Diesel and Nayak's) in Bangalore. But, both of them told me that Continental does not provide Renault Duster injector spares. Which means that they can test, and re-calibrate but cannot repair the injectors without parts.

If mod's approve we could make this a generic thread which provides information on all such fuel systems service centers the members are aware of?

Bangalore CRDI Fuel System Service Centers

http://saravanadiesels.in/
http://www.nayakdiesel.com/

I have no affiliation with these businesses other than paying them a visit as a first time customer.
