My lancer drove past 1lakh kms recently and i think its high time since i get it fully serviced.so can i have suggestions to what all to do as im not going to let go of my Baby in near future..i checked it out at the service center they told a full service in 1 lakh will cost u 12k...i dont mind tat but wat i want to know is the things that i probably wil hav to chnge in 1 lakh...want my car back as new ;-)

If it was a well maintained car, you need not change everything and everything on the service list.
My suggested changes would be :
1) Alternator Servicing
2)Clutch Plates + Bearing.
3)Gear Oil Change.
4)Axel Changed ( If only you notice any noise)
5)Fuel Tank Cleaned.
6)Engine flushed
7)Polishing of Pistons-Porting.
8)Steering Coloum Check, Power Steering System Checked.
9)All Belts Changed.
10)New Tyres+Alignment+Balancing
11)Mountings checked and replaced if needed.
12)Radiator + AC System Checked and Cleaned.
13)Rubber Hoses + Seals Checked and Replaced if needed.
14) Complete Car wash + Top Side,Underside to check for any rust damages underbody.
15)Exhaust System Checked for any Leakage.
16)New Spark Plugs (NGK) + Ignition system checked.
17)Brake System Overhauled, Polish or Replace Disk if needed.
18)Throttle + MPFI injectors cleaned.


This should be about it..!

If you have been doing your regular service, you need not do anything different just because your car has completed a Lakh. celebrate it by all means. have a crate of scotch ready & call all the Team BHPians & we will tell you then. cheers
