Everything just went off

Yesterday i was driving in heavy rain i mean really heavy rain the roads were flooded. while i was driving suddenly the car engine shut down and the head lights when off and the stereo also shut down everything was got to 1 min or so as the car didn't have battery in it

after that i tooks the keys out and then put them in again the car started again without any hassles the stereo was resetted but the car worked fine

my question is that what had gone wrong and is it serious should i take her to a mechanic

Check if the battery terminals are tight. can happen if they lose contact with the battery.

In addition to the above suggestions, check the alternator that might have acted up due to the water.

Yes, Ajmat. Just an example of how cars would behave when powered by Microsoft.

Which car was it?
It is better you get your car checked up by some good mechanic. This should definitely not happen in a more serious circumstance like in middle of an overtaking move or so...

According to your explanation, it seems like your electrical system needs to be rechecked.

if the battery is holding up still n theres no issues then it should be the terminals and alternator could cause problems too so go ahead get it checked or better yet do a full check

If the battery was drained because of an alternator malfunction, how was he able to start the car again? Not able to understand this.
