Could it be because the dash IS made of plastic? Or are you refering to a resonance sound from the dash in sync with the engine speed?

Is it possible that something in the glove compartment is making that noise?

I thought dashboard noise is inherent only to Hyundai's. Even i face this noise problem once in a while on highways which is a cause of big irritation.

I noticed that this happens due to items not kept properly in the dash and if i rearrange them properly the noise disappears.

If emptying out doesnt work try stuffing the glove compartment such that you have to apply some force to close it . I am not joking. It worked on my old 800 but didnt make much of a difference as there were 10 other things in the car making rattling sound
