thalavoy, please learn to appreciate short forms in life. no one wants to type in japanese with a capital J when you can say jap & get on with it. Is this term derogatory in the japanese language, please let us know with proof.

First of all,
DOHC, we can say, two separate units handle inlet/outlet of the cylinders.when there is separate handling of the 2, we can surely manage them better!
profiles do govern the characteristics, agree to that, but again being mounted on same cam Vs different ones, also should be considered.

about the short_forms!
we are away from that on tbhp! (includes sms shorts, others.) for good or otherwise,but that's that!
(OT:in the beginning,that was hard to do, but that makes easy to compile, and is easier to read. plus, feels good too!)
