For me personally, as a young person, I don't find a pragmatic case for rear-hinged doors but the looks for me definitely can be a selling-point!

I see such trends making a comeback in the near future in break the monotony of the current car designs. I remember how back in around 2010 Chevy Beat (Spark in the overseas market) was the talk of the 'hatchback' town because it had a futuristic rear-door handle. Such iterations in design keep the space interesting!
