Yes. This will present in the fine print of the vehicle warranty handbook (not to be confused with extended warranty). Just that few of us read through all that and the manufacturer will use a lot of lawyer language to confuse you about it.
I assume you're someone who looked after the gearbox. The life you got out of the multi clutch is on similar lines to what you'd get out of the clutch from a manual gearbox. 60,000km is good from a manual (Can be lower, higher), low for a dsg. That bell housing looks like burnt charcoal, like what you'd find inside the smoke box of a steam locomotive. Our high temperatures and traffic conditions might be the cause of that.
Good work my friend. This will help several others who drive cars fitted with this transmission. Once fng's get more familiar with working on these cars, it should be pretty straight forward. The only problem that remains is working on the electronics (vcds) as most fng's are not well equipped or educated here.
On a recent service the service centre engineer has noted on the service slip "double clutch and flywheel noise". Verbally they recommended changing the flywheel and provided estimate of Rs 1.3 lakh. Btw, the car is Vento 1.2 TSI, run 1.1 lakh km in six years.
We have also been noticing abnormal noise on heavy loads, steep incline, on reversing and inching over speed breakers.
With such a heavy bill, without warranty coverage, I would like to postpone any repair for as long as possible. For how long can I test my luck? Unlike the OP, I would not be able to do my own repair. Any recommendations for good FNG with DQ200 work experience in Delhi and Noida? How much will the expenses be like?

hey, man.
if you've been noticing abnormal noises on heavy loads, it's likely that your flywheel has gone kaput.
you can hit up the OP on his
work page, as he runs an FNG based out of New Delhi that many BHPians and I have been going to for quite some time now.
i'm sure a complete fix can be done for quite less than what any A.S.S would quote you for your transmission job.
:)
Hi guys, is there any FNG in Trivandrum, Kerala specialised in diagnosing and fixing this transmission?

Thank you for sharing with us the satisfaction of getting a job done right!
Two days ago my Rapid TDI 2015 with a DQ200 suffered a clutch failure. Gears 1, 3, 5 and 7 went out of service. The D# lights were flashing and the spanner symbol was flashing. Called the Local BOSCH Service Center, where my AC Compressor was recently replaced.
It's been 48hr and no part or labour estimate has been shared. Other than INR 84,000.00 part-cost that shared with them by Skoda OTC over the phone. :Frustrati
REQUESTING HELP to get this done the right way!
