Palio vibratations.

Recently my freind bought a palio 1.2 2002 model. On a long drive we noticed that driving at speed < 50 the vehicle vibrated (it feels like as if someone is shaking the vehicle). If you are on the rear seat the vibrations are more as compared to the front seat. Does any one know what could be the reason ?

Whoops! Is this a newly bought second-hand car? I hope it used to ride properly at the time it was bought?

Did your friend recently switch to alloys? And were these vibrations noticed after the switch? Alloys with the wrong PCD can do that.

Else, some wheel balancing and alignment could help.

Please provide some more information. Whether the car was properly tested before buying. What have been the recent changes. Its better to get the new used car serviced before you start enjoying it

ravi get your car tyres checked, if they have enough thread left in them, check wheel balancing, again wheel alignment also is recommended from a good 'computerized' shop, reasoning is once you do the alignment any undue wear can be avoided. this should solve the issue.

if not check your suspension with a competent mech.

Check the tyre pressure of all tyres and get a wheel alignment and balancing done.

Ok , i shall ask my friend to get wheel balancing and alignment done and will also ask him to get the suspension checked. After buying no modification have been carried out and the car runs on the stock rims and the tyre conditions are also good .
We did not experience this problem when we test drove the car before buying. Will update all after getting the alignment and balancing done and thanks for all the feedback.

please check the following-

1.Rims for damage
2.Tyre for uneven wear or damage
3.Wrong pcd rim
4.Tube in a tubeless tyre
5.Repaired tyre

though the most obvious thing to look out for is bent rims.

Got wheel balancing and alignment done ,it did not make any difference. So decided to replace the front two tyres and checked .All the vibrations just vanished. Finally got the rear tyres also replaced .Now its a joy to drive the vehicle.Got her bridgestone 165/80 R13 tube tyres.
Seemed it was a problem with the tyres .The manufacturing date on the tyres were May02.
