I own a Kia Seltos diesel Automatic (2021 make) and now it is time to get its emission test done as it has crossed 1 year.

However, wherever I go for an emission test in Bangalore, either the guys reject testing the car as the BS6 Kia diesel engine does not emit enough carbon to be recognized by the test machine or a few people repeatedly tried, but the machine threw an error stating that the exhaust is not detected. I am not sure how to get the emission test done, please advise.

One testing guy even gave me an idea to get a friend's car which is of BS4 make so that he can test on it and take a photo of my car and give me the report, but I do not want to do this.

It seems that Govt implemented BS6 mandate without mandate of upgrading equipment of those PUC testing machines.

One can head to the BPCL petrol pump near Leela Palace hotel, on the old airport road, Bangalore. I got a PUC certificate for my BS6 diesel Seltos from this place in Nov 2020.
