Re: Skoda: Almost 1-month to arrange for a new sunroof for customer's Kushaq

One of the reasons I am afraid to get Skoda cars. I dont know when the issues of delay will resolve for India.

Japanese are quick to resolve all these issues. I have not heard 10-15 days wait on Japanese front for spare parts. Or am I the lucky one?

Thought provoking predicament! How do we ascertain if it is okay to drive a partly damaged (although can be driven) to our hometown if anyone meets with an accident outside his hometown?

My brother once met with an accident near Jaipur on the Delhi Jaipur highway (NH8) and got the car towed all the way back to Delhi (his hometown) even though it was many times more expensive than getting it towed to a service station in Jaipur (or nearby areas). He anticipated that repairs will take quite some time and better to deal with a service center in your own city than an outstationed one.

In his case towing was the only option but can anybody enlighten us if it is okay to drive a fair bit of distance (250-500km?) with partly damaged by drivable car without any impact on warranty and insurance claim (especially for the German brands which are quite finicky our warranty inclusions and exclusions?
