Well on the fender left hand side or maybe right hand side Recently found the reel of that person on Instagram and took a screenshot. Please share your ideas on this.

I deleted those holes for antenna on driver side A pillar because I have obsession with having cars aesthetics always symmetrical

Antennas look legit awesome too!

but look for good body shop guys to trust this job, getting it on fender is very delicate.

This person is from Manali I believe and these two Alto are identical but with commercial number plates on it. Owner looks really car enthusiast. Well have left a comment on this reel. Don't know when can I expect a response from him.

I used the rear wiper arm from Wagon R the latest version. But I don't liked the looks of modern technology. So I removed that and installed the old Zen metal wiper arm which was a real pain to find one, so restored it from a nearby junkyard. It looks something raw and old school as per my preference. Adding an update on this got the rear windshield glass from Boodmo but they are charging 1500 rupees as delivery which is more than the price of product itself, my got insane monopoly it is.

Nevertheless your alloys to the vehicle looking pretty much awesome and your custom made centre hub is really innovative idea and worth appreciating.

Vivek, there are no “integrated” headrests for rear seats? I also see different steering wheel, is that from k10? looks neat!

Well there were front and rear headrests in old Alto Exite edition which was obviously very limited, since it was the export model for Alto with all those basic export qualities. I have seen those running on roads and looks very cool. It would be impossible to acquire from the local market or Boodmo. But yes you can get the entire rear seat from scrap yard with Integrated headrests similar to the front headrests.
And it's a direct fir on every Alto type 1 varient.

The steering wheel I'm using is from type 1 Swift Desire which I got from the scrapyard in 2013 when the vehicle was new. As the stock steering wheel was really thin like a stick.

I think Xcite did not come with headrests in rear, only front non-integrated were given which is same as BS 3 Altos. well in old Alto VXI, yes we had separate head rests as found on front.

Mine has integrated rear headrests which are not very effective. Did Maruti think that rear passengers were headless?

For the rest of modifications they look awesome, I have installed Alto 800 steering wheel which has thicker wheel. Now its wraped in leather by Brotomotiv, I am changing my gear knob, waiting for leatherette to arrive.

Your gear knob looks like from maruti Swift. I guess you should keep things stock in the vehicle which will eventually will increase the value as the vehicle keeps getting older. With mine I'm trying to keep the vehicle stock or trying to make necessary changes which used to come in previous versions nothing morden or fancy with that. Plan to keep the vehicle for next 15+ years maybe in my stockyard. From last 3 months it's my daily driver after 4 years, it was never started or used since 2020.

I feel there is some error with Boodmo, the xfun was only available in BS3 and being limited edition it was mostly stopped atleast before 2009 after which xcite was launched, in some ways I felt xcite was a gimmick to clear BS4 inventory as they were being phased out. On Bs4 they adopted integrated headrests, and many more tbh. Also Dashboard color changed to bluish dark something, before it was Grey, and in Xfun guess what, it was dark brown. Is your prince/princess BS4?

That gearknob I got it from Amazon, yes indeed its similar to what you have on swift or Alto k10, but its fitting mechanism is bit different, plus I will also get a leatherette of blue teal shade. I will work on it and see how it turns.

About remote boot lid opener, surprise, I am using electrically actuated boot opener which works with tailgate kick sensor (when vehicle is parked and once vehicle is unlocked available for 30 seconds). I will soon be posting this on DIY thread, I am changing actuator as the old door lock actuator is bit weak and struggles to pull. That’s why I got Nexon’s actuator.

BTW I have also booked new LED tail lamps. Waiting for them to be delivered.

Pretty much impressive with the tailgate opener, I'm curious to know about this project on a basic vehicle. And start working on the same too.

Recently I have noticed an issue related to hard brake pedal. Since I changed the front disc pads I have noticed this issue, before this brake pedal was very light. I just have to touch it and the vehicle start holding down the brakes but lately I have to push the brakes really hard.
Below are the things what I checked and replaced.
1. Changed front brake pads, caliper pins. Did smoothen the disc rotors at lathe machine.
2. Checked the caliper piston which was not jammed.
3. Rear brake pads changed and drums have been smoothen.
4. Entire brake fluid has been flushed and used MGp dot 3 fluid.
5. Done the bleeding multiple times.

Everytime I go to the mechanic he keep saying the breaks are all good, but it's not the same as it used to be. Moreover I have compared the brakes on one of my friends Alto 2006 model. I just have to touch the pedal and vehicle starts stopping. But in my vehicle I have to hit the pedal a bit hard to get the braking system to slow down the vehicle.


Any ideas or suggestions what's happening or what could be the issue now ?

I feel you must check your booster assembly, hoses connected to them since Alto uses servo braking, that uses engine powered vaccum to help you press brakes without much effort. Dp you see any cracked hoses connected on the booster assembly? if not it could also be master cylinder issue, you might have to post pics of your engine near booster.
