How to train MBUX Voice Assistant for Indian Accents?

Hey friends,

I can't ever get MBUX in my new GLA 200 to understand me. My accent is Indian I would say but I can use Siri or Alexa without any issues, but somehow MBUX never understands what I am saying and always responds with 'I am sorry'.

Anyone able to make it work properly? Is there anyway to train it for your voice?

Thanks,

Sachin

Software from car companies will never be as good as software from hardcore tech companies. And with time, the gap will only increase. Sole exception to this rule is Tesla.

Would suggest you use Siri & Alexa only.

If it's any consolation Sachin, I have seen a plethora of western accented car reviewers whose accent MBUX does not understand.

Including software that understands accents is not that hard these days. Mercedes should take it as a short coming and fix it. A vehicle cannot be tailored to a market anymore. Each market has a melting pot of cultures with unique accents.

Yup that's what I do right now. But I guess can't do things like adjusting the AC temperature, opening the sunroof and all those things handsfree.

Mercedes has started upgrading their models from NTG 6 to NTG 7, the latter's is better in understanding Indian accents.

Barring the current E Class, GLA GLB and EQB all of their models have been migrated to NTG 7

GLA GLB and EQB will get this updated system in thier respective facelifts

Sunroof cannot be adjusted, but AC temp can be done
