Zen A/C Tips

Dear Team,

As you know after consulting to many bhpins, I bought Pre-owned Zen Vxi Nov 2003, I am happy with this car, in past two months I have covered 3480 km, but I am not happy with car’s A/C, it doesn’t cool effectively ( Total km on car is 42350 ), I think Alto’s Cooling is better than Zen Vxi..

Pls guide me how shd I improve cooling effect ( Also will be happy if other zen owners share’s there experience abt A/C in zen )

Thx in Advance

Best Regards,
Jitendra

I own a 99 carb Zen, and I have spent a lot of money trying to get the A/C to perform, but no relief, even time I spend money it get's better for a 10-15 days and then back to normal, even in those 10-15 days it's not too powerfull.

My best guess is that Zen A/C is not as good as other Hatch backs and is very week, the Alto A/C is much better. In fact I'm planning to sell the Zen primaraly due to this. The worst part is if the vicheal is parked in the open under the sun, it will take ages to cool the cabin, if parked under shade the you have better luck.

Thats a fact, u cant do much about it.
Alto has a 110cc compressor and Zen has 90cc compressor.

No i dont think so u can do that unless u are ready spend huge $$$ on AC.
For AC swap u'll have to change the condensor, compressor and all the piping and other mounts also.

Did you try getting the AC serviced ? Maybe a gas top up.

If you park the car in the sun, it is better to open all windows & ride for a few minutes before closing them & switching on the AC.
