Hard Clutch in Skoda Kushaq 1.5

Hi Auto Enthusiasts, I am writing this to take your views and opinions on a known issue faced by many Skoda Kushaq owners.

I own a 1.5L manual Ambition variant 2023 model Skoda Kushaq. The initial drive felt the clutch action is too lengthy and pretty hard. I brought this up with the service advisor at Palace Skoda Mysore, the response he gave was Skoda's Clutch is not based out of cable but a hydraulic. I was a bit confused by this statement and kept running the vehicle. I see many posts on various forums where owners complain about clutch replacement within 10-20k km.

All owners mentioned that when they raised the clutch issue, the service advisors from Skoda told them only one thing, it's a driving fault. I agree to an extent, but not everyone will drive the same way. I somehow feel the quality of the clutch Skoda has developed is certainly faulty, or there has to be some solution to the hard clutch problem. I have driven Kia Seltos, Creta, MG Hector, but all of the vehicles had a butter smooth clutch action. Any inputs or insights on this will surely be great... thank you.

Hi, since its a hydraulic clutch, bleeding can ease some of that hardness from the clutch, but the question now is, do the service stations know how to bleed it properly?

From the years of bleeding I have done of the clutch in my Swift, most guys don't know how its done and in the process of bleeding, they introduce more air in the system leading to clutch juddering and hardness.

None the less, this is one of the solutions and need to be done, so please check with them if clutch bleeding can be done to ease the clutch hardness.

Facts First:
  1. 99% cars sold in the last decade uses hydraulic clutch.
  2. Skoda/VW Service Advisors are know to have good quality stuff
Running a 2021 1.0 TSI Rapid clocked 65K Kms as of date. My clutch became hard around 50K kms. My 3rd service was carried out around 40K Kms where Skoda/VW like most other OEM flushed & changed the brake fluid.

Then I performed a brake fuild flush & bleed around 57K. The clutch was back to being soft and sharp. As humyum has mentioned get the clutch bleed done. Most cheap solution.

Just for the reference this was the brake oil that I extracted from my Rapid. A new one is clear.

Does both clutch and brake rely on common brake fluid for hydraulics?
