Which suspension is better? - Gas or oil filled?

Hi,

This is just a general discussion to know which suspension is better - Gas or oil filled ('believe none have cars with electro-magnetic suspensions in India!). I own an Accent, with both rear and front suspensions being gas filled.

Here are my observations on my Accent:
  1. Good ride quality on highways
  2. High-speed turning better (though never tested at speeds beyond 100kmph) than my friend's oil-filled Accent
  3. Hard ride in the city (could feel the small stones and lil bumps - may be coz of the bridgestone tyres)
  4. Higher road noise (again may be coz of the BS tyres)
What's your opinion?

Giga

Thanks a lot Mithun, i remembered that thread but couldnt find it either

Gigatech, the problem is that there are so many ways to refer to something (eg. suspension, shocks, shock absorbers) so sometimes searching is difficult.

Please continue the discussion in that thread.
Thanks,
Rehaan.
