Indica does not do 1000 rpm in 3rd gear? News to me.

Swift DDis does 1000 in 5th !

No I did not have extended warrenty and for repair I went to the pump repair guy directly, not through dealer.

here's my inputs from my experience with a diesel vehicle. I faced the same - restarting within a couple of hours is not a problem but leave it overnight and i had to pump to start the car.

1) It looks like it's definately taking in air. Check the filter assembly also.
Something was wrong with one of the plastic valve/bush (under the filter point where the plunger rests) I changed the filter assembly for my car and from then on it worked fine.

hey I had the the same problem and found that the fuel filter assembly had problem , the rubber seals which are between the lower assembly and the cover had been damaged during filter change and the pump use to suck in ai when the assembly was cold. replace them.

The Indica DLG I have is NOV 2005 model. It developed slow pickup after two months and the engine seemed to be under a load. The dealership removed silencer and hammered out the catalytic converter and since then the car has clocked around eighty thousand KMs. and is going fine. Is it really due to the catalytic converter?
