CONCLUSION:

2 days , 10 hrs, 14 K spent : Not worth it. The Delhi 3M to say the least is greedy and workmanship sucks. So beware when you go there.

And if your car has too much "orange peel" then be dammed like I was :-) And disappointed that a company like 3M which is 6 sigma in everything can't pick better dealers. Really disappointing experience and results.

PS: Beware of smooth talking jargon speaking detailing salesmen.......they are salesmen and not people who genuinely give you the right advice.

3M for detailing is a waste of money. PPF is good 3M product but it needs skilled people to apply it. Look like 3M Delhi lacks that technical expertise.

Sorry mods - wasn't sure where exactly to post this.

At the recommendation of fellow BHPian @nishant84 - visited PMP - Pimp My Pride - at Kandivali East, Mumbai.
Had gone with the intention of just getting my Nano cleaned (interior and exterior) - but after looking at the setup and speaking to the guys got it detailed as well.
This was my first time with them and the first time for my dear Stuart as well.

The owner - Sandy (Sandesh Shetty) is quite passionate and sincere about his work.
Clean, transparent and hard-working place. Focus on good work. The staff is well-trained too. Follows protocol.
Completed the task in the time committed, responded well to all queries via phone and sms. Full marks there.

Sorry I picked up the car late at night so I don't have the stunning before-after pics.

White Hippo detailed

Even before becoming a BHPian, I used to to visit PMP Motorworks (aka PMP/Pimp My Pride). Have been quite happy and find it to be VFM.

Pros:-
1. Quality work and attention to detail are surreal.
2. As mentioned above, services provided are VFM.
3. Flexible payment option. There has been times I completed payment few hours after getting the car delivered.
4. Customers near PMP can opt for pick-up and drop-off service.
5. Run by enthusiast (Sandesh Shetty) hence it’s never boring.

Cons :-
1. Shifted to Charkop which isn’t all well connected via WEH.
2. Space is premium in Mumbai, guessed it right. Parking is a problem.
3. Road in front of the PMP Detailing Centre is in a pretty sad state.

Now time for some WIP pictures and end result.
