Nice find amit and very good tech info but I dont know how many such enthusiasts are present in this forum, unless someone specifically buys a second to try this out.

a very good find amit, but this applies to M800 rather than the alto as you think- that too old carb models. Also the process mentioned is not that easier either-nevertheless some good food for thought.

ya actually is a maruti 800 with 6 valves. but the header for the finding was alto.i wonder they call the 800 as alto there similar to netherlands where they call the ZEN as Alto. but as far as my knowledge is concerned this process can be done on any car if the exact dimensions are known.
increasing compressions by shaving the head is very common work done on bikes.

no not yet was busy in solving problems on my alto. it wasnt moving over 120 kmph mark at all. throttle valve had choked up. ic valve too. i wonder how did it choke up. i had got it cleaned recently.
changed gearbox oil. did a engine flushout, changed engine oil & also added bardahl additives to both engine oil and gearbox oil.
now car is very smooth. goes above 140 mark. now will get automech.

ya surely i will go for FFE now. i was struggling with the speed issues since 6 months.the dealer wasnt able to find out the exact problem. it was then i took my car to a newly opened maruti dealership in pune MY CAR and got it serviced there. the guys were amazing at troubleshooting.
i am very very happy and delighted that my alto is restored to new now. its now running fast at max 140 kmph on stock filter which i had put while going to the service centre.i wonder how much will it kick when i put my K&N back on it.

Thats nice but dude drive safely and dont hit that speeds often for your own and others safety. Yea surely with K&N and with the FFE planned you will love the ride in the rpm's tuned by the tuner. Once again, drive safe and take care..
