I have a similar problem, but in my case there is no hissing sound and after driving for around 25-30 kms i see the white smoke like stuff from the a/c wents.. the a/c at this point is not cooling and if i turn off and back on the a/c it starts the cooling back again.

The cooling is perfect with no issues, and the a/c was serviced around 2 -3 months back.

Guys Its only super cool air heavily loaded with Water Vapours. You will see this effect predominantly in the areas of high humidity or in on going downpour. The best way to avoid that is reduce the cooling of air conditioning and switch to inner air circulation mode. Also check your car AC water vent pipe, if clogged, the moisture will be there in the cooling cavity and can come out as vapours in case of super cooling. Another way of checking clooged tube is to check your car carpets in the foot well, if wet tube needs a thorough check up. And if AC is cooling nothing to worry about.:)
