had one question,
My Uno D was not in use since 5 months and its Battery died and wanted to buy one...
some one told me that Uno battery is a bit different and will cost 6K...
can any one let me know if its true.
What is the amp rating of the Uno battery. The higher it is, the more expensive the battery is.
Some lot of Uno's had 55Ah and some came with 60Ah. The alternators also came with 70A and some came with higher ratings. Hope that helps.

If its a 55 or 60Ah, then the price of around 6 seems ok. though I think that's the MRP. Should get it for something closer to 5.5K or so, maybe less, depending on the brand.

6k is lot of money for a battery I bought 48 Ah amron pro with 3 years warranty for 3.5k.

well my dad is in hyderabad and i am in bangalore so when he went for the battery he was told 6K...
will ask him to check some other places too...
my exide oem battery died after 1 year and 2 months. 1 morning i got late for college, so i ran to the car and started it, car just kept choking and choking, so i took another battery and jump started the car, no problems just refilled distelled water, 2 weeks later same problem got the battery refilled again, this time 2 months later got some heavy ICE battery drains now faster.
i got fedup and now a proud owner of a maintenance free AMARON,
so has anyone tried out BOSH batteries how are they.
I'm not 100% sure right now (can confirm by tomorrow morning) but I bought my Exide Freedom 55LMB (whatever that is) battery for around 4k last year!
Will confirm once I see the warranty card tomorrow.

It was exactly a month ago, I had reported this problem with my battery. But after that I never faced any issues with it.
Can I continue to use the existing battery or it's safer to replace the same, as I am planning for a long drive next month.
2 years is too short a period for a battery change.
Check if the CCA(Cold Cranking Amps) is too low at ur service centre.
MUL workshop said there's a problem with one of the cells on my OEM Amaron. Battery is 19months/20K kms old.
Will be checking it out and get a diagnosis done at an Amaron shop soon.
The good thing is - Although battery warranty is 1yr, MUL said they will give a replacement if Amaron gives a replacement advice (Sam did I get that right ?) in writing.
Is it possible that at the time of delivery itself these batteries are pre-used or defective. The real batteries that come with the car finds it way to the open market.
@shuvc, my first brake rotors (and pads as well) did not last at all. When I switched to newer rotors, I found that the braking was far improved (which improved further on usage) from what it was when the car was delivered to me new.
Ikon's batteries are motorkraft and they are still running strong. Even the Fiats Exide Freedom is lasting quite a bit unusually long without any electrolyte level check (upto recently - when Dad have started doing what was his reponsibility till I took over!)
My Wagon R's (2001) OEM battery laster for approx. 3 yrs+ and I replaced it in 2004 with the same model which is still going on strong. I think I should not complain.. or should I.
