Suspension mods for Innova - doable ?

We have an Innova G3 and does a lot of highway driving where we have encountered under-carriage scraping over bumps and minimal bad roads.
we want to raise the ride height using 20/25 mm aluminium spacers (had done the same successfully on a Fiat Uno).

The Innova is a far more complex vehicle and would like to know if the steering/suspension geometry will be affected by this procedure.

any suggestions guys ?

i had mentioned wrong in the other thread. peter posted that they are bilstein b6. anyway they wouldnt raise the car.

IMO adding spacers would seriously affect the handling and stability and that is not something you wanna do to a car that is used alot on highways.

Hatari, have you encountered this problem since the car was new or has it cropped up only recently? Your post indicates extensive highway use and loading, so it could be that the suspension is worn out / sagging. Maybe an overhaul is the solution here?

I don't recommend spacers at all. It can potentially ruin the onroad behaviour.

If larger wheels / tyres fit without scraping, that may be an option to consider. You can easily get some mm of ground clearance with bigger rubber.

EDIT : You could also consider the options listed in this thread.

Re: Suspension mods for Innova - doable ?

Anyone has experience or reviews with suspension upgrades for the Toyota crysta and which ones, if any are good? Please share your advice or experience.

What are you after? Do you know the manufacturer of the stock suspension parts in your car?
