Does happen sometimes, (should not happen though). Get the doors aligned well and may be replace the door beadings as well. That should solve the problem.

I don understand what aligning the doors mean.

Just go to the service centre and tell them doors need resetting, they will do it, then check for leakage.
Hmmm, though there is no leakage from the doors, I guess I need to get the doors 'reset'. The door level at the top on the right side of my vehicle are disturbingly above the body roof line. Nothing wrong with the door closing/opening otherwise, i.e. there is no rub above or below the door.
Can't figure out one 'tak' sound that comes whenever going over a bump at normal speeds - comes at right at the top of the bump. Everything seems OK - no loose plastic or metal parts. Sound seems to come from near B-pillar.
No rattles or squeaks generally even after 4.5 years, except for occasional squeaking (kich-kich, like noisy springs) from somewhere below dash. Comes and goes - no fixed pattern.
Anyone face these?
Deralte, the "tak" sound is a feature. Its called the idler arm. Get it tightened, and it will go away for 3000-5000kms.
As for the "spring sound", is it from the dash? A common culprit is the "Jumping rod bush". Every time you get suspension travel, it makes that spring sound.
As for dashboard rattling, do not get it opened on fixed, you will get more troubles. Live with it.

I get a different sound of late. Some time when I turn the steering, it makes a loud 'tak' Sound. But other than this sound, there is no other symptom.
For your case, a loose nut in the under chassis Steel guard can also result in some sort of sound when the car goes over a bump.

No its no loose nut.
your 'tak' is your center pin. Get it greased. It should go away.
If it does not, you need a new center pin bush.
If it still does not go, you need a new steering cross.
If after all that also it does not go away, you need steering damper change.
If that also does not work, then steering box needs to be changed.
Pray that its a major steering box fault or a steering cross fault, because its covered under extended warranty. The simple faults like center pin cost 1300-1500 to fix and are not covered under extended warranty
Thanks tsk1979. How serious is this issue ? I have a long (not too long) trip to make by the long weekend and I don't want to be stranded on the highway. If it is greasing the center pin, it can wait till I am done with the trip. But if it is a major issue related to steering cross, a high speed drive may buy me a one way ticket to meet my creator for which I am not ready yet.

do not worry, go on your trip, and get it sorted when you come back get it fixed. If the issue is serious(like it was in mine), your steering would start vibrating every time you cross 60kmph
Just a khat is okay

Had the same issue on the driver side front door, got it fixed during last service.

+10 to this, I made the mistake of asking them to reduce blower vibration noise, they reduced that and added dashboard rattle.
For second time my rear right window stopped operating due to wire short circuit. Once it happened in Bangalore and now in Nagpur. I took Safari to Safeway Motors nearby TASS and they found insulation of wires removed near motor in rear right window and hence short circuit.
Unfortunately I was not present during repair activity as I had to go out due to some work. They took photo and show to me. It is strange that it is happening repeatedly. I told this check the culprit and correct it. Lets see how it goes. It is dangerous while on tour and window is open and fuse blows.
Hey all,
M safari has completed 2 years and hence has finished all its free services, Well now that I will have to do paid services I was wondering about the following:
1) I want to take my vehicle to an independent service center (JKRS car care, Goa) who I have heard it being tata authorised and is excellent with Tata vehicles so I would like to take my car to them for yearly servicing or solving out any issues. My question here is that my vehicle now comes under extended warranty and hence if god forbid but if any major problem occurs with regards to any part that need to be changed under the e-warranty then will the regular TASS make a problem if my vehicle has been serviced at JKRS in the two year period?

As long as you get your vehicle serviced from an
Authorised service centre, there should be no problems in claiming any kind of warranty.
A concern with my Safari lately. Since the last three tank fills, the mileage I have got is : 9.4kmpl, 9 kmpl & in the most recent 8.6kmpl.
This has been the first time that I have got such low mileage on the trot. On the other hand, the SUV which is now more than 2.5 years old and has clocked 90K kms, has never felt better to drive. The engine is very smooth and it feels like a well oiled machinery.
What can be the reason for the reduced mileage? The figures mentioned above are for 100% city use (non metro) and 100% AC on. While to some it may look par for the course, but I have maintained a regular log of my vehicle's FE and this is the first time in the ownership period that I have got such low figures.
A service advisor in a TASS advised to me to get the clutch overhauled. Apart from a sometimes sticky clutch pedal, I don't see the need. I concluded this by letting the Safari climb on a rather sharp incline, with AC on in 1st gear and with no accelerator input . The Safari pulled up just fine.
Please advise as to what can be the reason for the low mileage, or should I just ignore it?
PS: I upgraded to Continental AT's recently. And the low mileage figures have kind of coincided with the tyre change.

Anuj inside door panel there is a peace of foam wrapped around wiring to reduce rattle and rubbing , Usually when panel is opened those guys mercilessly pull it apart. Just check if this helps
