PROBLEM: Accent's Antenna Twisted

Dear Friends

My accent's automatic antenna on the boot has twisted while it was stuck in a rope. The antenna is not getting in fully now. I have tried to fix the antenna with a plier by squeesing the twisted area, but still its not getting in.

Guys if you have any remedy please suggest else i have to replace it.

Waiting for your comments.

thanks!

Try Method 1
make sure you have pliered the mast to a near round (pliers should never be used in first place but since you have already) IF AT THE POINT WHERE ITS DAMAGED THERE IS A INWARD DENT THEN THE BELOW METHOD WONT WORK. if its near to round proceed to.

locate the Antenna Mast
open the nuts outside (take care not to scratch the paint)
inside nut of the mast

once you have the mast out insert some grease in the inner nyloncable and start radio on / off / on / off it could work

if not Method 2
with Mast out
the top end of the mast is a threaded end. (chotti boondi)
hold firm avoid bend and unthread
after that slide it reverse with the cord to get the tubes out and then get the the damaged tube to a perfect round by obviously shoving some tube / screwdriver with broken tip
add some grease and refit in reverse order

As Rahul said. Replace it. Wont cost a bomb.
Better to have a new thing and relax rather than going through the pain of doing it again and again.

My Suggestion : Dont go for the automatic ones, rather try for painted ones ( like the ones in verna , city, octavia etc.)

Replace the antenna. It hardly costs Rs 750(starting price including fixing) here in Bangalore at JC Road.
I have fixed one in my OHC . It cost me 1200(taiwan made .. It's still working perfectly, fixed an year back) inlcudng installation
In Delhi, It may cost you very less
